How to Delete Your EcoLens Account
If you want to delete your account and associated personal data from the EcoLens app, follow the instructions below.
- Send an email to ecolens.info@gmail.com with the subject line: « Delete My EcoLens Account » with the email address associated to your account.
- Your data will be deleted within 7 days, including your name, email, profile photo, and logged activities
- We will retain only anonymous usage statistics (e.g. quiz completions) for analytics
This action is permanent and cannot be undone.
EcoLens – Privacy Policy
1. What data we collect
We may collect the following types of personal data:
- Name – to personalize your profile and leaderboard participation
- Email address – to manage your account and distribute rewards
- Profile photo – for visual identification in the app
- User ID – for internal identification purposes
- Approximate and precise location – to verify proximity to participating restaurants
- App interaction data – such as logged meals, quiz participation, and challenge completions
- Crash and performance data – to improve app stability and performance (e.g., via Firebase or Expo)
2. How your data is used
We use your data solely to:
- Enable the app’s core features (meal logging, leaderboard, rewards)
- Authenticate users and manage accounts
- Improve app performance and stability
- Prevent misuse of features (e.g., location-based access to meal logging)
- Send important app-related communications (such as reward notifications)
We do not use your data for advertising or tracking purposes.
3. How your data is stored and protected
All data is encrypted in transit and stored securely using modern cloud services (e.g., Firebase). Access to your data is restricted to authorized project team members.
4. Third-party data sharing
We do not share your personal data with advertisers, data brokers, or analytics platforms outside of the tools used to deliver app functionality (e.g., Firebase).

You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time.

We will delete your data (including name, email, photo, and activity logs) within 7 days. Some anonymized usage data(such as aggregated app statistics) may be retained for internal reporting.
